Pierre Whatley
A Record of Service. A Vision for District 70.
Born in Newnan and raised in public housing by his single mother and grandparents, Pierre Whatley knows firsthand the challenges many working families face. As a proud graduate of the Coweta County School System, he learned early the values of hard work, perseverance, and service that continue to guide him today.
After graduating from Howard University, Pierre built a career dedicated to public service and fighting for everyday people. As a Senior Policy Advisor on Capitol Hill, he helped shape policies that protect consumers, strengthen the economy, and expand opportunity. His experience includes helping establish the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and advising congressional leaders, including Congresswoman Maxine Waters and U.S. Senator Raphael Warnock, on issues affecting hardworking Americans.
Today, Pierre is also the owner of a local trucking company, giving him firsthand insight into the opportunities and challenges facing Georgia's small businesses and working families.
Service has always been at the center of Pierre's life. As a high school student, he volunteered with Meals on Wheels, and today he serves as Chair of the Coweta County Accountability Courts. Throughout every stage of his career, Pierre has remained committed to improving the lives of others.
